My landscape paintings draw the viewer into a heightened vision of color and gesture, depicting the natural world with colors that are intense, lush, and dramatic; going beyond the traditional ideas of a green landscape.
Teasing out the complex colors in the landscape I create layers color, line, and form. The works depict powerful moments from my travels through the everyday vistas of our world. –N.W.
